The highest price paid for international art went in April 2012 for an abstracted landscape by Chinese artist Zao Wu-Ki (Chinese/French, 1921-2013), one of the greatest Chinese artists of the 20th and 21st century.It sold at Sotheby's for a US$4,775,519 premium on April 6, 2013.
